SABA Membership Survey - Spring 2001

SABA members who responded to a spring 2001 survey were most interested in funding for lanes and trails, establishing a trail network and more crossings of barriers like rivers, freeways and railroad tracks. Considerably lower on members' priorities were education, expansion of SABA into developing areas, bike parking and enforcement.

Most respondents seemed to be satisfied with the Squeaky Wheel--there were considerably fewer responses to questions about the newsletter. The three most wanted new features were information about what others are doing, cycling tips and a Sacramento Bicycle Advisory Committee (SacBAC) column. Many liked the idea of letters to the editor, which we have done occasionally, but plan to make a regular feature. There was less interest in product information, improving graphics or adding photos.
